Copic Marker Case

My Copic marker collection has grown! I've had to design a new case for them. I got the idea from a post on SCS. The one there was in a plastic case and too big for my collection. I didn't want to carry around more stuff than I have to so I made mine to fit into a bag I already have. Because of the foam board box my case will also stand alone on my desk at home.

Here it is empty. Made out of foam board ($ Store) and plastic light covers(Home Depot). Glued and pinned for extra strength. Measures 11.5x7.5 and holds 160 markers. Yay! Room for more!

Here it is with my markers. Aren't they pretty! I just love all of the Copic colors.

Origami Bow

Valentine Treat Box Card

I made my card smaller to get two out of one 12x12 sheet and used Design Studio to create different fronts for the treat box window. I'll be posting some of those as I get them made. (I tend to do more designing than actual creating! lol) This card would be awesome with a coffee theme and coffee gift card, yes? Or how about Birthdays? Favorite candy and a gift card :)

Pattern for scoring, folding and cutting lines. I chose to cut the corner at a diagonal but you don't have to. I covered the window cutout with a clear transparency sheet, glued the bottom and side of the box but not the top.

Coasters made with Tiles

These are my new coasters for the craft room! So easy, fun and fast to make. Tile from Home Depot, printed image on light weight card stock and glossy mod podge. I added little feet to the bottom so they won't scratch.

Key holder and memo board

This was fun to make! I used ranger ink to dab the board with and really like the ink. Hadn't used it much prior to this but I will be using this ink a lot now!

The flower is one I made. Cut layers with cricut and the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge. Sprayed them with Tattered Angel's Glitter Mist and assembled.

Copic Marker Storage

These are the storage towers I made to hold my copic markers, prisma pencils and gel pens. They are made out of foam board from the dollar store and not too hard to make.

For travel, I use a separate piece of foam board that is the same size as the back of the tower. I wrap wide elastic around it and secure with velcro.
Instructions:

Supplies Needed:

1 (20”x30”) foam board

Exacto knife, metal ruler and cutting mat

Aleene’s Glue (I used Fast Grab Tacky Glue)

Flat-headed pins (“Satin” pins work well and are easy to find)

Pieces to cut:

Back cut 1 4”x12”

Sides cut 2 5 ¼”x 12”

Top cut 1 4”x5”

Bottom cut 1 4”x5”

Shelves cut 3 4”x5” (these 3 are notched - see pic below)

Top Front cut 1 2 ½”x3”

Bottom Front cut 1 1”x4”

Divider cut 1 2 ¼”x 8 ½” (this piece has 3 down-slanted notches for the shelves, and the bottom is slanted also - see pic below)

Assembly:

Lay the back down on a flat surface and stand the long end of one side against the long end of the back. Glue in place and pin. Do the same for the other side.

Glue and slide the notched shelves into the notched divider. Let dry.

While the glue is drying, go back to the sides and back. Add the top front piece to the sides that are attached to the back. Now add the top piece. This goes under the top front piece. Glue and pin.

Position the divider with shelves, glue and pin.

Place the bottom piece under the divider, glue and pin.

Add the bottom front under the bottom piece you just attached, glue and pin.

That’s it! Decorate as you choose or leave it white. Enjoy!

Card Organizer

This is the cover of a card organizer that I am making. The image is a digital stamp from Mo Manning at Mo's Digital Pencil, colored with prismas and copics. I used miniature paper flowers, popped the frame and used clear plastic as a 'window'. Frame was cut with cricut. The clasp is from Zutter.
I am almost done with the inside and will post pictures later.

Gift Basket

This is a little basket of creative cheer for a friend's mother-in-law. She's just had knee surgery and is in need of something to do. (Hospitals drive me crazy too so I felt the need to help out!) She likes to make cards so I put together examples of 3 different cards for her to make. Two for Christmas and one set of Thank You cards. Total of 36 cards. All the paper is cut and stamped. She will do the coloring and assembly ~ everything needed is in the basket ~ markers, glue stick, pop dots, small ink pad, even the envelopes. I also found a small Domino game so I tossed that in too.

This is the front of the large magnetic tag/card I made for her. Sentiment was typed on my computer. It says, "Be patient, follow Doctor's orders, and in no time at all..." The brad was made with I-Top. Shapes cut with nesties.

Here is the inside of the card. It says, "you'll feel like dancin', dancin', you'll dance the night away" I just love this dancin' granny! So sassy and happy! She is a digital image by Mo Manning. The sentiment was typed on my computer. (I like to do things quick and easy!)

ATC for a swap on the Cricut Message Board. The background is from my computer. The cow is cut with cricut, colored with copics and glitter pen used on eyes and hooves. The first place ribbon is also from my computer. It is colored with copics and I used glitter pens on it before cutting it out.

I love otters! This little guy is printed from my computer. I cut around his paw and lifted it to insert the shell. The shell is a real one I brought back from the beach. I used a gel writer for the bubbles going up the side.

Another ATC for the cricut board. Origami papers cut into rectangles and then cut diagonally. I used two different papers on each ATC. This paper is embossed and has a rubbery feel to it. The panda is cut from suede with cricut. I used gold smooch on "Friend".

Another ATC for a swap on the Cricut Message Board. Origami paper cut into rectangles and then cut diagonally. I used two different papers on each ATC. The "Butterfly" stamp is heat embossed onto vellum and cut with a punch. Butterfly is from Gypsy Wanderings - one layer in gold and one in shimmery purple.

Group 1a Butterfly

This is an ATC I made for a swap on the Cricut Message board. I used lavender cardstock with a layer of handmade paper on top. The heart is printed onto vellum and cut out. The butterflies are transparancies, cut with cricut, colored with copics and a line of stickles for the body.

Card Sketch Challenge for Karen's Doodles

I made this card for the sketch challenge over on Karen's Doodles. The image is called Penguin Cupcake. Colored with copic markers, scallops cut with nesties. Happy Birthday sheet music was a free download, ribbon from M's, brad from CKC shopping. This card will go to my son for his next birthday. He plays oboe and English horn and is playing solo at Carnegie Hall this month! (Had to brag I am so happy for him!)

Here is a card I made with a digital stamp by Mo Manning. She has several freebies you can try out. ( www.digitalpenciltoo.com ) I used prismas to color the image, chalks for the background, flocked the ducks and used crystal accents on the puddles. I used a plain brad, heated and dipped into embossing powder mixed with glitter then heated again. Fun to make!

Vintage ATC

I just finished these ATC's for a swap over on the cricut message board. I used swiss dots on the black layer and then colored them with a silver gel pen so the dots would look like riveets. It was harder than I thought it would be to stick to just three colors but it was FUN! I love making ATC's and hope to make more soon.
